An all-in-one for 7th grade, in the tradition of supplementary schoolbooks

The "all-in-one" format is well known to parents: a single textbook that brings together all the year's subjects, including lessons, methods, and exercises. A second modern language in the table of contents

7th grade opens Cycle 4, and a second modern language is introduced. The book accounts for this: the English section is labeled "Modern Language 1," then a Spanish section opens on page 95 under the title "Modern Language 2" and runs to the end of the book. The instructions are in the language being studied, "Ejercicio" in Spanish, "Exercise" in English. Eight subjects in the 7th-grade table of contents, over 99 numbered pages; in 6th grade, the table of contents has six parts and no Spanish.

Physics-Chemistry, the Human Body, and Technology

The science section for 7th grade is detailed in the table of contents: physics-chemistry, the human body, the Earth, technology. You will find diagrams of electrical circuits, light and shadow, digestion, and photographs of rocks and a volcanic eruption. On page 1, the book specifies that it follows the official 7th-grade curriculum and complements teacher lessons without replacing them. It is neither published nor validated by the Ministry of National Education: it is not a classroom textbook distributed by the school, but a book for home.

The history section goes from Byzantium to Louis XIV and is well-documented: Charlemagne, the Bayeux Tapestry, a castle, a cathedral, Joan of Arc, Christopher Columbus, the Vitruvian Man, Versailles. A total of 39 illustrations: 24 photographs and reproductions, a labeled map on page 58, and fourteen diagrams, from geometry to electrical circuits. Added to this is a timeline from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance on page 55. These are documentary reproductions borrowed from Wikimedia Commons in the public domain or under a free license, with their source printed below the image.

What this manual does not contain

The exercises are verification questions, one per lesson at most, without printed space for answers. Therefore, there are no multiple-choice quizzes, answer keys, or answer pages at the end of the book. No index, no alphabetical glossary either: the table of contents sticks to the subjects. Finally, nothing digital: no digital resources to download, no interactive exercises, nothing to retrieve on the school's digital workspace (ENT). A paper manual works without a connection; that is its main advantage at home in the evening.

Our schoolbooks do not go through the school

We are the publisher: Kidibook, an independent publishing house, not a school publishing group. We do not manufacture the textbooks that schools lend out at the beginning of the year, and none of our titles appear on a list distributed at the start of the school year.
