Why an all-in-one?
Because in middle school, the hardest part isn't always the subject itself: it's keeping an overview. A single textbook makes it easy to review before a test, catch up on a missed chapter, or calmly go over a concept that was poorly understood, without juggling five books and three notebooks. It is also a precious ally for parents who want to follow their child's progress without diving back into their own 8th-grade memories.
The "Brevet" milestone
The 9th-grade volume (3e) naturally supports preparation for the Brevet exam: the essential curriculum is condensed, making it a solid foundation for organizing third-term revisions. To memorize formulas, dates, and rules that appear frequently on exams more quickly, the mnemonics in the middle school volume make an excellent pair.
How to choose?
Take the textbook for the current grade level to accompany the school year, or the one for the previous grade to consolidate during the summer before the start of the school year. All four volumes follow the same structure: a child who gets used to the format in 6th grade will immediately know how to use it in 5th, and so on until 9th grade. One textbook per level, same principle
Four volumes, one for each grade of middle school: 6th grade, 5th grade, 4th grade, and 9th grade. Each brings together all the subjects for that year in a single book of nearly one hundred pages: French, mathematics, history, geography, moral and civic education, sciences, technology, and English.
The principle does not change from one level to another: one lesson per page, always built the same way—a rule or concept explained clearly, one or two examples, and an exercise to check understanding. Each subject opens with a cover page that lists its chapters, so you can go straight to what you are looking for.
Four all-in-ones, one per year
The all-in-one format is well-known to parents: a single schoolbook that brings together all subjects, with lessons, methods, and exercises. That is exactly what these four supplementary books are: compliant with the curriculum, with one lesson per page and nothing to download—no digital textbook, no license, no virtual learning environment. Paperback books that open without needing a connection.
A reference book, not a workbook
These textbooks replace neither the books distributed by the middle school nor the teacher's lessons. They complement them: this is the book you keep at home, on the desk, and open in the evening before a test, on Sunday before an evaluation, or when a concept was not well understood in class.
This is also what makes them useful to parents. The lessons are clear enough to be read by an adult in two minutes: you can help with homework without having to relearn the 8th-grade curriculum.
From 6th grade to the Brevet
6th grade opens up middle school: new teachers, new subjects, much more autonomy. 5th grade introduces abstract math with signed numbers and algebraic calculation. 4th grade focuses on Pythagoras, cosines, and equations, as well as two dense centuries of history. 9th grade brings together the entire Cycle 4 curriculum and concludes with the national Brevet diploma.
One textbook per year, consistent with the previous one: your child will find the same layout and the same logic from 6th grade to 9th grade.

Four textbooks, one independent publisher
These four books are published by Kidibook, an independent publishing house. We are not a school textbook publisher: our books are not presented to teachers, do not appear on any school's supply list, and do not replace the textbooks that middle schools provide to each student at the beginning of the year. They are neither edited nor validated by the Ministry of National Education; each volume states, on page 1, that it follows the official curriculum for its grade level and complements the teachers' lessons without replacing them. The school curricula provide the guideline; the pedagogy is ours: one concept per page.
What changes from one year to the next
The content follows the actual curriculum for each grade. The table of contents for 5th grade lists physics-chemistry, coinciding with the appearance of Spanish as a second foreign language; in 4th and 9th grade, sciences are divided into chemistry, electricity, light, tectonics, DNA, and immunity. 6th grade has neither Spanish nor physics-chemistry in its table of contents: its science section covers living things, matter, the sky, and technical objects.
What these four books do not contain
No multiple-choice questions, no answer keys, and no answer pages: the exercises are short instructions, at most one per lesson. No index, no alphabetical glossary: the thematic table of contents does not indicate pages. And nothing to download: no digital resources, no e-books, no interactive exercises; we do not sell licenses, and there is nothing to retrieve from the middle school's virtual learning environment (ENT). You receive paperback books, not PDF files: they open the day they arrive, without a connection, and they remain yours. The illustrations, however, are certainly there: photographs, engravings, labeled maps, diagrams, and a timeline in each volume.
How these four books arrive at your home
Each textbook is manufactured individually once the order is placed. You can buy just one: the four volumes can be ordered separately, and there is no obligation to follow the collection from one year to the next. They are not part of the back-to-school group purchases; this is a parent's purchase, and each student keeps their own.
Before middle school, after middle school
